Restless is a shrine dedicated to Seymour Guado from Final Fantasy X, started in 2005 or 2009, I don't know the exact year. My writing was different at that time and I'm honest my English was not so good at all, I had to replay the game a lot of times to get his backstory and personality. I really wanted to revive this shrine because of the Final Fantasy X Kabuki and he is finally playable in Dissidia.
Why?
First I want to thank Square Enix that they have created Final Fantasy X and even in this year (2023) it have such a special place in my heart! In the year 2004, I replayed Final Fantasy X on my Playstation 2 and there was always a part of the story that stood out to me and this is the main reason: the story of the antagonist Seymour Guado. He is a very misunderstood character. He is very complex in his personality, agree to disagree to his point of view of saving Spira.
I litterally cried at the scene in the Zanarkand Dome that was so sad. This was also the main reason why I felt empathy for him and he will be my favorite Final Fantasy X character forever.
If that wasn't enough they made a exclusive backstory scenes for Seymour for the Final Fantasy X Kabuki, I cried even more. That was the most saddest scenes that I have ever watched in my entire life!
I played the Dissidia Final Fantasy X Opera Omnia. I really wanted to have Seymour in my team, like after the first chapter. It goes basically like this: I clicked on the Spirit of Salvation banner, Mog wants him as a ally, Yuna said: "No" and I said: "Yes, I want him!" lol I'm so glad that his story continues on, sadly the game will quit in 29-02-2024.
The name
Restless, is the name of the shrine and yes, he is a unsend but that is not the main reason. The reason of the name is that in his mind, he is restless. He lost his mother on such a young age. After returning to baaj temple all alone and I can really understand that it was so stressful and you're going to overthink things. He became traumitized because of these events that happend to him.
Thank you for reading!
